The Devil’s Inn

brief:

Create a striking wraparound cover for The Devil’s Inn, a chilling new horror novel by the emerging author Max Burgess. The cover should be bold, atmospheric, and refined, to capture the eerie isolation and creeping dread of a historic inn where something sinister lurks beneath the surface.

solution:

For this design, I chose to create a design that looks rough and handmade, to communicate the spooky feelings that the book conveys. I wanted to make a collage of photocopied images that relate to the themes of the novel in a chromatic colour palette.
